Light Setup

You are the proud owner of a Swell Cycle light! Congratulations! It is now time to integrate your light into your home network so you can control it from your computer or smart phone!

Step 1 - Power Up

Plug in the light using the provided power supply. Make sure the light turns on indicating everything is working properly. It should only take a few seconds.

Step 2 - Connect to Wifi

Connect to the light by going on your phone or computer and join the wifi network created by the light. The name of the network is Swell Cycle. If it asks for a password type in "flowstate". Once you are in the swell cycle wifi wait a few seconds for a splash page to appear. If the page does not apear, go to your browser and search "swellcycle.local/". 

Step 3 - Add to Home Network

In the splash page click on the Config tab in the upper left corner. Click on Wifi Settings, and type in your wifi information under Network name and Network password. Name your lamp under the mDNS address. (this will be what you type in your browser to control your light). Click Save & Connect when done. See picture above for more information.

Step 4 - Controls

Log into your light by opening your favorit browser and type in the URL that you created in step 3. Make sure to add the .local/ at the end of the name. When the page loads it, it will look like the original spalsh page found in the previouse step. Now you can play with the color by clicking on the color wheel and you can also change the effects of the light by clicking on the effects tab located at the bottom of the screen. Play around and see what effects you resonate with!
